Welcome to the High Country!
The Epsilon Theta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota welcomes you to our website! We hope you enjoy learning about our chapter at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina!
The History of Epsilon Theta
On November 16, 1968, sixteen ladies received the charter to the Epsilon Theta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, the first member of the Tau B Province. This was the second Greek organization on the campus of Appalachian State University, preceeded only by the Rho Tau chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Since then, this chapter has completed many service projects, including Appalachian Young Musicians' Workshop for area children, and the Jessica Ruth Earley Scholarship Fund. Many awards have also been won by this chapter, the most recent being the 2002 Provincial College Chapter Acheivement Award. The chapter was also featured in the fraternity journal, Pan Pipes, for being "the little chapter that could." There are currently 21 active sisters of Epsilon Theta.
